Reiki — Heavy Internal Healing That Works

In a few of my previous blog posts, I’ve discussed my healing journey through some simple techniques and tools including affirmations, decision making, and my personal experiences.

However, if you’re looking for an alternative healing method, I would suggest reiki. I tried reiki with my practitioner Shirin Naghizadeh for the first time approximately 3 months ago. Reiki for any person’s initial session will feel differently.

Let me explain what reiki is, “Reiki is a Japenese healing technique that channels energy into the client. This can be facilitated through the means of gentle touch activating the natural healing process of the body and restore physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.” After reading this definition you still may be a little bit confused. As was I. I went into reiki with an open mind and without a definitive term of reiki, besides “energy healing”.

You need to go into reiki with an open-mind, the belief that it will work, and know that this healing process doesn’t have a definitive time period. Therapy is the same way. You heal in your own time and through your own process.

Based on my experience, I woke up feeling as though my entire body went through a serious refresh. I felt like I had no worries or anxiety on my mind. Being in the present can be hard for many and I am one of those people. When I continued with sessions I started with intent and I was able to tackle internal problems I was facing. When I researched on Youtube some videos about reiki, I came across this video:

“Reiki is love, love is wholeness, wholeness is balance, balance is wellbeing, wellbeing is free from disease.”- Dr. Mikao Usui

For many, it is a form of healing that provides that void of love many haven’t received and becoming whole as a person.

If you’re looking for an alternative healing process that matches with your beliefs of alternative health and energy, I vouch for reiki. For more information about reiki, contact: Shirin Naghizadeh on IG or info@artistryofhealing.com
